Olivewood is an iconic material from the Mediteranean regions used because of its beauty, fragrance, and durability.  The olive oil still resident in the wood will retain its soft aroma for quite a while.  It is very smooth to the touch and a true joy to use. Because of the high oil content, the wood naturally polishes and no finish is needed As the oils from your hands absorb, the wood will get richer in time. Think of the naturally finished wood like a leather bag.  It will break in, and the marks tell the story of its life.  So the hand polishing that happens, or the drops of ink you may spill over time, are the spices of life which make this pen truly special.  The fitting are made of bronze, and have a hand rubbed patina.  As you write, it will begin to burnish and "break in" adding to its richness.  It will come fitted with a piston converter so you can use your favorite bottled ink. I will also include an international ink cartridge in case you prefer this filling method.  Additional cartridges may be purchased at most office supply outlets and stationary shops.  Should you choose the rollerball,  the international sized insert included is the most common size on the market and many brands are available at most office supply retailers.

Cocoblo is widely hailed as one of the most beautiful woods on earth.  It one of the many species of rosewood (Dalbergia) from Central America and is marked with rich orange, reds, and yellows with traces of black.  The natural oil finish I used for this pen will allow the natural oils in your hands to continue to bring out the character of the cocobolo.  With time, it will patina and reflect the time you spent using it.  The fitting are made of bronze, and have a hand rubbed patina.  As you write, it will begin to burnish and "break in" adding to its richness.  It will come fitted with a piston converter so you can use your favorite bottled ink. Tasmanian Eucalyptus comes from the mountainous regions of Southeastern Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria.  It is marked with beautiful curls of iridescent wood grain that move as you rotate the pen in the light.  I used a natural oil finish so you can feel the texture of the wood, and your hands will cause the wood to patina more with use. The fitting are made of bronze, and have a hand rubbed patina.  As you write, it will begin to burnish and "break in" adding to its richness.  It will come fitted with a piston converter so you can use your favorite bottled ink.
